This page describes the only text messages this application sends, who receives them, and how to stop them. It is published for transparency and for messaging-provider review.
AB Manpower Inc. is a construction labour and services company. It runs an in-house construction management application used by its own office staff and field crews. The application covers the work of running crews and jobsites in one place: a GPS-verified time clock for clocking in and out on site, safety forms and toolbox-talk acknowledgements, site photos and documents, employee records, hiring and onboarding, plans and drawings with on-sheet markup, plan-pinned tasks and punch lists, and scheduling. It operates across AB Manpower's sites in British Columbia, Canada and in the Cayman Islands.
It is a private workforce tool, not a consumer product. There is no public sign-up: a person can only have an account if AB Manpower office staff created one for them as an employee or crew member.
Field crews do not have company email addresses and do not use passwords. A construction worker's phone is the only device they carry on site, and it is the only identifier the company holds for them. The application therefore signs field users in with their phone number and a one-time code — that code is the authentication mechanism, so without SMS a crew member simply cannot access the app to clock in, sign a safety document, or view their assignment.
Office staff, who do have email addresses, sign in with email and password instead. SMS is used only for the field workforce, and only for the single message below.
Sign-in code. Sent only when the person themselves enters their own phone number on the sign-in screen and taps the button asking for a code. Every text this system sends is the direct, immediate result of that request by the person who receives it. Nothing is ever sent unprompted.
There is no second message. The application will not send a number a text unless that number is already registered to an employee and that employee has just asked for a code — an unrecognised number receives nothing at all.
No marketing, promotional or informational campaigns are sent. There are no purchased, rented or third-party lists, and no traffic on behalf of any other business.
Updated 11 August 2026. This programme previously included a second message: a one-time invitation, sent when office staff added a new crew member, containing the link to the application. It was the only message a recipient had not individually asked for, so it has been removed from the application entirely. Office staff now pass the link on in person during onboarding, which is where they already are when they hire someone.
abmanpower.org is AB Manpower Inc.'s current canonical domain and the only domain that appears in our message content. It is registered in Route 53 within the same AWS account that sends these messages. An older domain, abmanpower.ca, was registered through a third-party registrar the company no longer has access to; it is not used in any message.
